DNC Open House
Posted in News on August 23rd, 2008 by adminScott and I went to the Pepsi Center yesterday to check out the setup for the Democratic National Convention. The last time the Dems held a convention here was 1908, so I figured this was probably a once in a lifetime thing.

They gave us maybe 15 minutes to look around inside.

Seating for the delegates from Obama’s home state of Illinios was front and center. This is a tradition.

While the host state is seated to the right.

Outside, CNN had taken over a bar and grill called Brooklyn’s, and called it the CNN Grill.

If anyone knows where the quotes on the building are from, please let me know.
They had a interviewing area set up on the patio where Gloria Borger was doing some live correspondence. We got shushed by an intern.

Nearby Larimer Square was decked out too.

I’d like to give more details, but I have to get the upstairs toilet reinstalled before we head down to the Loveland Corn Roast Festival.
