We installed a Sterling/Kohler sliding shower door in the downstairs bathroom.
It was a very easy installation. Because all the corners around the shower were square, I didn’t have to shape the frame at all. The tools needed were basic — a level, Phillips screwdriver and a hacksaw. The only item i needed to buy was a 3/16 masonry drill bit for installing on ceramic tile. The only hitch was that there was no procedure for installing the plastic slider guide in the included instruction booklet or the online video. It’s that little white thing in the middle of the bottom rail. I screwed it down after hanging the doors from the top rail. Make sure the door slide through the groove smoothly, then attach it using the extra #8-18 x 3/8″ screw.
It looks nice. I don’t feel like I’m using the Howard showers anymore. If you worked at the Y in Estes, you know what I’m talking about.
This is the next project.
