DNC Open House

Scott and I went to the Pepsi Center yesterday to check out the setup for the Democratic National Convention. The last time the Dems held a convention here was 1908, so I figured this was probably a once in a lifetime thing.

They gave us maybe 15 minutes to look around inside.

Seating for the delegates from Obama’s home state of Illinios was front and center. This is a tradition.

Outside, CNN had taken over a bar and grill called Brooklyn’s, and called it the CNN Grill.

If anyone knows where the quotes on the building are from, please let me know.

They had a interviewing area set up on the patio where Gloria Borger was doing some live correspondence. We got shushed by an intern.

Nearby Larimer Square was decked out too.

I’d like to give more details, but I have to get the upstairs toilet reinstalled before we head down to the Loveland Corn Roast Festival.

    Hi, Jesse
“people united will never be defeated”
is from a Chilean protest song. The other quotes seem like they are from political leaders and such.

    Jesse,

Especially interesting to see the “befores” now having seen the “afters”…nice shots. And truly historically interesting. You can say “you were there” – hopefully he’ll win and your shots will be worth fortunes–sadly, I think he’ll lose.

    Thanks for posting.
